A summer course for singers will be held  in France at La Tour d’Herbain, Rachel Ann Morgan and Maurice Gouttenoire’s house in France. This charming house was built around a 14^th century look-out tower on the edge of the village of Arnas in the Beaujolais area. Next to the house is a large forest and in front of the house is a lake. In 2015 we decided to open our house to hold residential music courses.

WHAT IS IT?                                                                                                                    Lessons in interpretation and vocal technique for singers                    Musique à la Tour offers a residential week of classical singing, interpretation and vocal technique, with Rachel Ann Morgan, mezzo-soprano, and Irina Sisoyeva,  pianist and vocal coach to accompany the singers.

WHERE IS IT?                                                                                                                At La Tour d’ Herbain, 386 Impasse des Etangs,  Arnas, Rhône-Alpes, France. Arnas is 4 km from the town of Villefranche-sur-Saône, Rhône-Alpes. It is 40 km south of Macon, 40 km north of Lyon. The distance from London is 890 km, from Amsterdam 850 km, from Brussels 700 km, from Milan 500 km and from Geneva 170 km.

WHO IS IT FOR ?
Singers of all ages (from 18) amateurs as well as professionals, soloists and choral singers.
Maximum of 6 singers per course. Languages spoken : English, French, Dutch.

July 17-24, 2022

WHAT DOES IT COST ?
€ 700,- for all teaching and full board and lodging in La Tour d’Herbain for one week.

DAILY:
Breakfast 8:00 to 9:00
Lessons 9:30 to 12:30
Lunch 13:00 to 14:00
Afternoon free for relaxation or study
Lessons 17:00 to 19:00                                                                                                    Dinner 20:00

Half a day’s excursion to Lyon or to Cluny

Closing concert Saturday evening

Arrival Sunday July 17 after 17:00
Departure  Sunday July 24 before 12:00

CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
Confirmation of your registration after a down payment of €100.
The remaining amount of €600 to be paid one month in advance (before June 17).
In case of cancellation there can be no refund of the first €100.
In case of cancellation after July 3, there can be no refund of the total fee.

In case of cancellation of the whole course due to the virus, there will be a total refund.
