Another summer course for harp and voice will take place in France at La Tour d’Herbain, Rachel Ann Morgan and Maurice Gouttenoire’s house in France from July 31 – August 7, 2022.
This charming house was built around a 14th century look-out tower on the edge of the village of Arnas in the Beaujolais area. Next to the house is a large forest and in front of the house is a lake. In 2015 we decided to open our house to hold residential music courses.
WHAT IS IT ?
Harp and Voice coaching for harpists and singers.
Musique à la Tour proposes a residential week of singing with harp (Celtic or concert harp) accompaniment given by Rachel Ann Morgan, mezzo-soprano and harpist.
WHERE IS IT ?
At La Tour d’ Herbain, 386 Impasse des Etangs, Arnas, Rhône-Alpes, France. Arnas is 4 km from the town of Villefranche-sur-Saône, Rhône-Alpes. It is 40 km south of Macon, 40 km north of Lyon. The distance from London is 890 km, from Amsterdam 850 km, from Brussels 700 km, from Milan 500 km and from Geneva 170 km.
WHO IS IT FOR ?
Singers and harpists of all ages (from 18), amateurs as well as professionals. You are welcome as a harpist with a singer, or you can accompany yourself. Two concert harps, two Celtic harps and one Triple harp are available. You can also bring your own instrument.
Maximum of 6 participants per course. Languages spoken : English, Welsh, French, Dutch.

WHAT DOES IT COST ?
€ 700,- for all teaching and full board and lodging in La Tour d’Herbain for one week.

Music sessions 9:30 to 12:30

Afternoon free for relaxation or study
Music sessions 17:00 to 19:00

Half a day’s excursion to Lyon, the Beaujolais countryside or Cluny

CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
Confirmation of your registration after a down payment of €100.
The remaining amount of €600 to be paid one month in advance (before June 30).
In case of cancellation there can be no refund of the first €100.
In case of cancellation after July 17, there can be no refund of the total fee.
In the case of cancellation of the course due to the virus, all payments will be refunded.
